Jack and the Beanstalk
Jack loved adventures, but his mom always told him, 'Adventures don't put food on the table!' One day, their pantry was empty, their cow was out of milk, and his mom sent Jack to sell the cow at the market. 'Get a good price for her!' she said, but Jack, being Jack, took a very unusual deal instead: he traded the cow for five shiny beans that a mysterious old man claimed were magic. 'Magic beans?' his mom cried when he came home. 'You traded our cow for beans?' Out they went, tossed into the yard—and Jack went to bed feeling a little foolish.

But overnight, something truly magical happened. The beans grew into a beanstalk so tall, it stretched all the way up to the clouds. Jack couldn't believe his eyes. 'Adventure time!' he whispered to himself, and up he climbed, higher and higher, until he reached the top.

In the clouds, Jack discovered a giant's castle. It was enormous! Even the doormat was bigger than Jack's house. Peeking inside, Jack saw treasures sparkling in the sunlight—gold coins, a golden harp, and a goose that laid golden eggs. 'This must be magic!' he thought, but before he could marvel too long, he heard a booming voice: 'Fee-fi-fo-fum! I smell the scent of a little one!' Jack scrambled to hide behind a teapot as the giant stomped into the room.

The giant was enormous and a little grumpy, but fortunately, he wasn't very observant. While the giant ate breakfast, Jack tiptoed out, carrying one golden egg. 'Mom will be thrilled!' he thought. And she was! 'Jack, this egg will feed us for weeks,' she said. But Jack couldn’t stop thinking about the treasures at the top of the beanstalk. So the next day, he climbed back up.

This time, Jack sneaked away with the golden harp, but the harp wasn’t just golden—it was magical, and it started to sing, 'Help! Help!' The giant heard the harp's cries and roared, 'Fee-fi-fo-fum! I smell the scent of a little one!' Jack ran faster than he’d ever run before, harp in hand, the giant thundering after him.

Jack scrambled down the beanstalk as fast as he could, and just as the giant reached the top, Jack gave the stalk a mighty shake. The giant lost his balance and tumbled down with a loud 'Ooof!'—but don’t worry, he landed safely in a haystack far away and decided to leave Jack alone.

Back at home, Jack had the golden harp and the goose that laid golden eggs. He and his mom never went hungry again, and Jack promised to think twice before trading cows for beans. But every now and then, Jack would look up at the sky and smile, remembering his big adventure among the clouds.

Sometimes the smallest things—like magic beans or a little courage—can lead to the biggest adventures!
