The Wind and the Sun
One bright morning, the Wind and the Sun were having a friendly chat high up in the sky. The Wind, who loved to boast, swirled around and said, "You know, Sun, I’m the strongest one here. I can move leaves, bend trees, and even whistle through chimneys! No one can match me!"

The Sun, warm and calm as always, smiled gently. "Oh really, Wind? Strongest of all? Hmm, let’s see about that," he said. The Sun loved a good challenge, and he had a clever idea brewing.

Just at that moment, a cheerful little boy in a bright red jacket strolled down a winding path below, humming a tune and swinging his arms. The Sun’s golden rays danced on his jacket, and the Wind ruffled the boy's hair playfully. "How about we see who can get that boy to take off his jacket first?" suggested the Sun.

The Wind puffed up proudly. "Easy! Watch and learn, Sun!" And with that, the Wind swooped down. He started with a little breeze, fluttering the boy’s jacket. The boy giggled and pulled it tighter. "Not strong enough?" thought the Wind. He blew harder, and the boy stopped giggling. Instead, he crossed his arms and held his jacket close.

The Wind wasn’t ready to give up. He roared and howled like a storm, sending leaves flying and making the trees sway wildly. But the harder the Wind blew, the tighter the boy clutched his jacket. Eventually, the boy sat down under a tree, his legs tucked under him, jacket zipped up to his chin. "Brrr! This wind is so chilly!" said the boy.

The Wind, now out of breath, huffed and puffed his way back up to the Sun. "Fine. Your turn," he muttered, looking a little embarrassed.

The Sun smiled warmly and said, "Thank you, Wind. Now watch this." The Sun beamed brightly, sending down gentle rays of warmth. The boy looked up and smiled. "Ah, that feels nice!" he said, standing up and unzipping his jacket.

The Sun kept shining, golden and kind, wrapping the world in his cozy glow. The boy wiped his forehead and, after a moment, shrugged off his jacket. He tied it around his waist and skipped happily down the path.

"Well," said the Wind, watching from above, "I guess you win. But I softened him up for you, right?"

The Sun chuckled. "Of course you did, Wind. But remember, sometimes being gentle is stronger than being forceful."

And high up in the sky, they both laughed together, as friends always do.
