Goldilocks and the Three Bears
One sunny morning, the forest was alive with the sound of birds singing, squirrels chattering, and leaves rustling in the breeze. But one curious little girl named Goldilocks wasn’t paying attention to any of that—she was far too busy exploring! Her golden curls bounced as she wandered deeper and deeper into the woods, until she spotted a cozy little cottage with a chimney puffing out smoke. "I wonder who lives here," she said to herself, her curiosity bubbling over like a pot of soup. And before she could think twice, Goldilocks knocked on the door. Nobody answered. She peeked inside. Still nobody. So, she tiptoed in. "Just for a quick look," she whispered.

Inside the cottage, Goldilocks’s nose twitched—something smelled delicious! On the table were three steaming bowls of porridge. "Oh, I am so hungry," she thought. She climbed onto the first chair and tasted the porridge from the biggest bowl. "Ouch! That’s way too hot!" she exclaimed, fanning her tongue. She tried the medium-sized bowl next. "Bleh! Too cold!" Finally, she took a spoonful from the smallest bowl. "Mmm, just right," she said with a grin and gobbled it all up.

Feeling full, Goldilocks decided to take a rest. She looked around and saw three chairs. She plopped into the biggest chair. "Whoa, this is too hard!" she said, wriggling uncomfortably. She tried the medium chair next. "Oof! This one’s too soft—I’m sinking!" Goldilocks giggled. Then she spotted the smallest chair. "Just right," she said, settling in with a sigh. But suddenly—CRACK! The chair broke into pieces, and Goldilocks landed on the floor with a thud. "Oops," she murmured, brushing herself off.

After all that excitement, Goldilocks wandered upstairs to find somewhere to nap. There were three beds lined up neatly. She climbed into the biggest one first. "Yikes, way too lumpy!" she grumbled, rolling over uncomfortably. She tried the medium-sized bed next. "Hmm, too squishy," she muttered, sinking into the mattress like a marshmallow. Finally, she spotted the smallest bed. She snuggled under the covers. "Ahh, just right," she whispered with a sleepy smile, and soon she was fast asleep.

While Goldilocks dreamed of butterflies and rainbows, the owners of the cottage came home—it was the Bear family! Papa Bear sniffed the air. "Who’s been eating my porridge?" he rumbled. Mama Bear frowned. "Someone’s been eating mine too!" Baby Bear looked at his empty bowl and wailed, "Someone ate ALL my porridge!" The three bears looked around the room. "Who’s been sitting in my chair?" growled Papa Bear. "Someone’s been sitting in mine!" said Mama Bear. Baby Bear gasped, "And my chair is broken!" They hurried upstairs to check their beds. "Who’s been lying in my bed?" Papa Bear roared. "Someone’s been lying in mine!" said Mama Bear. Baby Bear climbed onto his bed and squeaked, "And someone’s STILL sleeping in mine!"

Goldilocks woke up with a start and saw three bears staring right at her. "Oh no!" she gasped, leaping out of bed. "I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean to—" She bolted down the stairs, out the door, and back into the forest as fast as her legs could carry her. The bears watched her go, and Baby Bear scratched his head. "Well, that was... surprising," he said. Mama Bear chuckled as she cleaned up the broken chair. Papa Bear rumbled, "Next time, let’s lock the door."

And from that day on, Goldilocks always remembered to knock, wait, and ask before going inside someone’s house. Because sometimes, finding what’s "just right" means being polite first!
